central spot for exploring oaxaca's rich culture and cuisine
the hotel’s central location made it effortless to stroll to nearby attractions like the gorgeous Museo de los Pintores Oaxaquenos just a 5-minute walk away, and I loved grabbing local treats from the delicious eateries like Marisqueria La Red, practically at my doorstep.

The room had a decent amount of space for a family. The convenient layout offered enough breathing room for a short stay.
The bathroom sink looked filthy, with tiny hairs left behind like a bad barbershop job. Lacking toilet paper didn't add to the experience, while an unsettling incident of an unlocked door after my sister had secured it made her feel a bit unsafe during her stay.

if cleanliness is next to godliness, then casa toloache must be in the wrong neighborhood. the bathroom sink was atrocious and looked filthy, not to mention lacking toilet paper. a simple room upgrade would have been nice for the hassle of feeling unsafe in my sister’s room. i almost gave a good review, but just couldn't!

Location made it super easy to walk to local attractions. I appreciated the security of the gate being closed after hours, which gave me peace of mind. The size of the Standard Double Room accommodated my family well, providing enough space for us to relax. However, the bathroom sink definitely needed a thorough cleaning, as it had tiny hairs left behind, making it feel uninviting. Additionally, we ran low on toilet paper during our stay, which was an inconvenience. An alarming moment occurred when my sister found her door unlocked after she had secured it, raising concerns about safety. Despite these issues, the receptionist was very nice, and their key access to the gate was a plus.

I had a pretty decent stay at Casa Toloache. The location made it really easy to explore. The receptionist was super nice, but the bathroom in my room could’ve used a bit more cleaning for sure. Overall, it wasn’t bad for the price!
